Bogotá
With an integrated AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) platform for freight transportation, the Green Routes team’s solution will offer listing, searching, matching, planning, optimization, and monitoring of freight mobility in real-time. The development of this platform will reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions while improving the ease and efficiency of shipping goods and the overall quality of life in Bogotá.
Team Green Routes is composed by: Beemetrix, Clear Road, Decision Brain, Singula City and ZaiNar.
Juan Pablo Matiz, Climate Smart Cities Challenge consultant for the city of Bogotá, interviewed Luis Garcia Baquero from Singula City and Laura Iguavita from ClearRoad —both members of the Green Routes team— to know more about this innovative solution.
*The following is a translation from the original interview in Spanish.
J.P.M: Luis, can you briefly describe the solution that Green Routes has proposed to tackle the challenge in Bogotá?
L.GB: We aim to achieve two objectives:
More specifically, technologies will be used in the following ways: first the load capacity of transporters will be collected in the platform through a dynamic market place. With this information and other historical data such as environmental or anonymised vehicle data, we can find the best routes for a given time. Secondly, we will use geolocation data to the level of meters, this will allow us to monitor the progress of vehicles thought their routs as well as where are they parking at the time of delivery.
J.P.M: Laura, Can you tell us about the team and the role of each of the organisations involved?
L.I: The way this team was conformed in order to develop the solution we proposed for the challenge is very interesting. We are an international team and each of the members of Green Routes brings technical and management knowledge that complement and complete the overall vision we have. The competences of each of the members allowed us to deliver a technically mature solution that is realistic and achievable.
Our team is composed of Beemetrix, a French company that specialises in AIoT and data analysis; Sinar from USA specialised in geolocalization; Decision Brain from France.
